Who we are
We’re Shawn and Jody Sunstrum, and together with our family and friends we’ve built The Sunny Spot into a place where people can connect, relax, and enjoy authentic experiences. What started as a family farm has grown into one of Drumheller’s favorite destinations for family farm attractions, outdoor fun, and fresh food. From corn mazes and mini golf to live events and dining under the prairie sky, we’re passionate about creating memories that bring people back year after year.
At the heart of The Sunny Spot is our local outdoor eatery, where we serve up made-to-order favorites that taste even better after a day of adventure. Whether you’re here for the food, the fun, or simply to spend time with friends, our goal is to rekindle the spirit within us all. We can’t wait to welcome you and share our love for the farm, the food, and the community.

We LOVE pets! Your furry friends are welcome on a leash and must be under control at all times. Pets are allowed in the corn maze for a small fee, but are not permitted in the mini golf area or on our tables. Thanks for your understanding!

We are an outdoor venue and do not have control over the weather or insects. Please plan accordingly.

We do have a portable washroom facility. It is a huge priority it is kept spotless! Please help us to maintain our standards by using our facility with respect.

We offer free parking while visiting. The lot is large and has room for holiday vehicles to maneuver.
